Mary Elizabeth Slevin

Ms. Slevin, a partner in the firm, focuses her practice in the areas of land use, real estate development, environmental law and general corporate practice. Ms. Slevin has assisted clients in the development of strategies for and acquisition of governmental approvals, environmental compliance and permitting, and the pursuit of related litigation in State and Federal Courts for commercial, industrial and residential developments throughout New York. In the context of this work, she has provided Project management services, managing multiple ongoing projects. This work combines the knowledge and resources to define, plan, implement and integrate every aspect of a client's comprehensive program. Her approach to project management reflects the firm's ability to coordinate and prioritize resources across projects, departments and entities, ensuring that resources are managed with a global focus. Ms. Slevin has demonstrated through her work, that she is able to bring efficiency, control and accountability to every stage of a project, from initial master planning through authorization, contract implementation, ongoing operations support and, when necessary, litigation to defend or prosecute an approval for a Project.

Ms. Slevin has further advised business clients on all phases of legal operations, including legal structure, acquisition, contracts and commercial litigation. Her clients include a national wireless system developer, technologically advanced service groups and manufacturers, major national and regional real estate developers and professional practices. She has also lectured at professional seminars on land use, real estate and general corporate law issues. Ms. Slevin served as an Administrative Law Judge for the New York State Higher Education Services Corporation for 10 years.

She graduated cum laude from Albany Law School of Union University and received her undergraduate degree, cum laude, from the College of New Rochelle. She is admitted to practice in New York and Florida and regularly appears before the courts of New York and the Northern District of New York. Ms. Slevin is a member of the American Bar Association, New York State Bar Association and the Albany County Bar Association.
